Επαναλαμβάνουμε ότι η άσκηση
κριτικής, αυστηρής κριτικής στα πεπραγμένα της Ισραηλινής κυβέρνησης και στις
δηλώσεις κυβερνητικών αξιωματούχων δεν συνιστά αντισημιτισμό. Δεν αρκούνται
όμως σε αυτή την κριτική.
Ιδιαίτερη ανησυχία προκαλούν
οι δράσεις οργανωμένων ομάδων "κατά Ισραηλινών και σιωνιστών", που
δεν διστάζουν πλέον να απειλούν με άσκηση φυσικής βίας, με συνθήματα που
παραπέμπουν στο πιο χυδαίο είδος εβραιοφοβικής προπαγάνδας, με την συκοφαντική
κατηγορία της τέλεσης γενοκτονίας, προκειμένου να εκφοβίσουν και να
τρομοκρατήσουν ανθρώπους εβραϊκού θρησκεύματος. Οι επιθέσεις εναντίον φυσικών
προσώπων με Ισραηλινή υπηκοότητα και εναντίον όλων εκείνων που φέρουν εβραϊκά
σύμβολα, καθώς και οι αποκλεισμοί Ισραηλινών τουριστών σε διάφορα λιμάνια της
χώρας, συνιστούν ηχηρή παραβίαση των νόμων και των αρχών της φιλοξενίας
και της ελεύθερης μετακίνησης.
Καλούμε την Πολιτεία να
λάβει όλα τα απαραίτητα μέτρα ώστε να διασφαλιστεί η προστασία των πολιτών και
των επισκεπτών από κάθε μορφή ρατσιστικής ή αντισημιτικής βίας και να
παραπεμφθούν οι παραβάτες στην Ελληνική Δικαιοσύνη.
Καλούμε δε τους πολιτικούς
και κοινωνικούς φορείς να αποδοκιμάσουν αυτά τα φαινόμενα που υπονομεύουν τη
δημοκρατία, το κράτος δικαίου και την εικόνα της Ελλάδας ως μια ασφαλή χώρα για
όλους.
Επαναλαμβάνουμε και τονίζουμε
ότι η ανοχή στον αντισημιτισμό και στη ρητορική μίσους δεν έχει θέση στη
σύγχρονη ελληνική κοινωνία, διότι ο αντισημιτισμός ξεκινά με πλήγματα εναντίον
των Εβραίων αλλά δεν σταματά ποτέ στους Εβραίους.

ANTISEMITISM STARTS WITH ATTACKS AGAINST JEWS, BUT DOES NOT STOP WITH JEWS. KIS ANNOUNCEMENT 13.8.2026
The Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece expresses once again
the deep concern of Greek Jews regarding the series of severe incidents that
have recently taken place on the streets of Athens and in other regions of the
country, aimed at intimidating and terrorizing Israeli tourists and citizens
wearing Jewish symbols or speaking Hebrew.
We reiterate that criticizing —even strictly criticizing— the actions of
the Israeli government and the statements of government officials does not
constitute antisemitism. However, they do not stop at this criticism.
Deep concern is caused by the actions of organized groups "against
Israelis and Zionists," who no longer hesitate to threaten with physical violence,
with slogans evoking the most vulgar form of Judeophobic propaganda, launching
the defamatory accusation of genocide in order to intimidate and terrorize
people of the Jewish faith. The attacks against individuals with Israeli
citizenship and against all those wearing Jewish symbols, as well as the
blockades of Israeli tourists at various ports across the country, constitute a
blatant violation of the law and the principles of hospitality and freedom of
movement.
We call upon the State to take all necessary measures to ensure the
protection of citizens and visitors from any form of racist or antisemitic
violence, and to bring the perpetrators before Greek Justice.
Furthermore, we call upon political and social bodies to denounce these
phenomena, which undermine democracy, the rule of law, and Greece's image as a
safe country for all.
We reiterate and emphasize that tolerance toward antisemitism and hate
speech has no place in modern Greek society, because antisemitism may start
with attacks against Jews, but it never stops with Jews.
